Project 19

In the same manor that scores and soundtracks encapsulated me as a kid and made me wonder how it was possible to create something so full of human emotion, Digital/Electronic music has shown me the possibilities of creating something that can sound so alien and other worldly. The amount of textures and soundscapes that are possible in the hands of a producer/creator are unfathomable. When I was younger, I made a habit to sample sounds wherever I could. I would distort and warp these sampled sounds, which were recorded usually through my phone or laptop, and try and make something out of them. I never thought that later down the line I would eventually be experimenting with analogue synths and advanced production techniques that didn’t even exist to me at the time. 

With the idea of becoming a producer growing more and more in my mind as time went on, I decided to create the alias of Project 19. Initially it was mainly for fun, but more importantly I had a creative outlet that wasn’t performing in bands and was entirely my own. This bit of fun has now turned into something important for me and even though it is in its early stages, I have full intention to blow this thing wide open.
